The GG Online Championship poker tournament series kicked off this weekend over at GGPoker with an outrageous total prize guarantee of $150 million. The new series runs from May 5 to May 31, parallel to the SCOOP on PokerStars. The GG Online Championship includes more than 100 individual events and more than 40 of those events have guaranteed seven-figure prize pools ($1,000,000 or more).
As with SCOOP, the events on GGPoker come in different buy-in tiers. There are four of these levels: low, medium, high and super high. Buy-ins range from $5 to $25,500 and, of course, there are satellites throughout that can be used to qualify for the tournaments for less money.
- $50 MILLION$ Mini Main Event with $1,000,000 guaranteed (multiple flights each day).
- $50 Omaholic MILLION$ with $250,000 guaranteed (multiple flights each day)
- $400 GG Online Championship Spring Classic with $2,000,000 guaranteed (multiple flights May 16-22)
- $10,300 Super MILLION$ Highroller Championship with $6,000,000 guaranteed (May 29)
- $1,500 GG Online Championship Main Event with $8,000,000 guaranteed (May 29)
- $10,300 Super MILLION$ Highroller Main Event with $10,000,000 guaranteed (Multiple start days)
GG Online Championship players will be automatically entered into a $500,000 leaderboard, with prizes offered for buy-in levels of High, Medium, and Low.

Negreanu is alluding to PokerStars, where the 2022 SCOOP guarantees around $75 million. Many players will likely be playing on both sites at the same time, but GGPoker has now clearly outdistanced its competitor PokerStars, at least in terms of guarantees.
