What should be our play here? It's almost 100% sure that set and flush draw are out there + someone else can also have the nuts or/and a wrap (although we have a blocker 8). Also are there any villain stats that should we care about in such situations?

I am new to the game but i would definitely suggest 3bet preflop. This type of hand plays very well in 3bet,4bet pots and is very easy played IP. Moreover you and villain are 200BB effective and that adds even more value to your hand.
I think you should 3bet and call 4bet and stack on this flop. I am very curious about other people thoughts

UTG limp is OK, even though I prefer a raise because even though your hand is suited and well connected, it is not the best to play in a multiway pot just because a lot of your straight and flush draws are not to the nuts, so I would rather raise preflop.

ON these low limits, with all the dead money in the pot, I think it's close between a fold and a call, because of your blockers I think someone very rarely has the nuts with a redraw. It's either 2pair+FD, set+FD, and maybe a JQKx type of hand with diamonds (and you are holding 2 of their outs, so you are in better shape versus this high wrap). Let's do a quick propoker tools to see how our equity is versus a tightish range.

    8s8h7h6s 22.53% 132,731 4,933
    99d*d*, 9dT*d* 31.94% 187,645 7,986
    JKdQ*d 45.53% 271,638 3,053

So, it appears like a fold might be correct because we have only 22% equity. Pot is 4.5+3.37+3.67+16.68+21.24 = $49.46, before it comes back to you and you have to call $17.87 to win a total of 67.33, so breakeven equity = 17.87/67.33 = 26.5%. So if we think Durr, bluff will fold it's a close fold for us. If we are sure DUrr bluff will come along, this means we will have to call our whole stack or, (39.01 -(1.1+3.37)) = 34.54, to win 39.01+39.01+22.34+4.77 = 105.13, so breakeven equity will be, 34.54/105.13 = 32%, and again calling is even more loosing play if e have to play for all our 200BB.

This is a great hand to shown NLHE converts trying to learn Omaha. It can teach them the insane concept that in PLO folding what may seem like the stone cold nuts on the flop, can be correct :) Sounds CRAZY, but it's true!

Here's the whole hand. As expected top set, nfd + the nuts were out there so our equity is around 13% which means fold is good. Also the hand was won by the hand with smallest equity ;)

sometimes it is :) Good news is, not many players know that folding the "nuts" is an option on the flop, so there's lots of money to be made from such NLHE converts and just plane bad fish.
