There is a fold preflop. Avoid calling hands with a pair in your hand like 88JK OOP. You are not going to flop well enough to make it a profitable call. Also calling too many hands OOP, gets you in tough spots like this. It's just very dificult to play well OOp in PLO, so jsut fold more and don't worry about it.

Also, depending on opponent, I have folded in such spots without even thinking much, because any decent player will not get you allin on river with a min-raise with no fold equity without KKxx, or 66xx. Think about it - he can never have a bluff, and the only hand that you beat which he may have is 76xx, but he will never raise that because it is not close to the nuts on river, and your c/r on flop definitely looks like a set, so why would he raise 76xx on river, if you are repping 88xx, or KKxx on all streets.

I fold here, but when I was first playing PLO, I probably couldn't make those folds, so don't worry about it. Just make sure you are always thinking of his range and what makes sense in this spot, and if you feel like a fold makes sense - then do it. Trust your reads and instincts, it's very important in the long run.

I thought he might have 86, K6,76 or something. He wasn't sophisticated enough to play KK that way.
Ofcourse you r right about preflop fold I play such hands extremely rare and i will try not to play them at all from now on:)

You can play this had in position if for example UTG raises and there is a call and you are CO or BTN, because you get good implied odds. But versus one oponent OOP, it's not a good hand to call with.

Also make sure when you say he might have 86 or K6, to consider that you have a King and two 8s in your hand, which makes it very unlikely he has K6 or 68. Also, once you c/r flop and bet turn, 86 or K6 should be folding too.
