Yeah, you have some good equity on turn, but you would not like your hand vs a range that c/r you on turn, so it is best to check back and reevaluate blank river if he bets. His c/c range on flop is weak 2pairs like 85xx, or T5xx, straight draws like J9Qx and 6789x, and lots of pair+FD, gutshot+FD combo and maybe mosnters like TT, 55 and 88, looking for a safe turn to get it in. So, on turn you are still loosing vs any set or 2 pair, now you are loosing vs some of the 67xx draws, and you are way ahead vs the pair+FD draws or J9Q draws, so you are not afraid to give a free cards vs most draws on turn, especially if FD hits and they have a lower flush. If you bet now on turn you are either getting c/raised by a very tight range or c/called by some 2-pair and maybe lower sets like 55, 88 that are now afraid of nuts, but they still will win at showdown on river, so by betting you are valuetowning yourself basically.

I check/back here 101% of the time for all these good reasons :)
