Ive been playing online successfully for 4 or 5 years now and have beaten up to 10/20 at one point.

My main games over the last few years have been 600 and 1knl with some dabbling into PLO (unsuccessfully ). I will be coaching anywhere from 50nl to 200nl because I feel like I can improve low stakes grinders games and push them into midstakes, an area I very familiar with, and help them
to succeed there.

My name's Josh. I'm 22, born and raised in Pennsylvania (US), and I've been playing Poker professionally for about 2 years now. Growing up I was always playing games, alongside my older brother Mike. We played a variety of games competitively, spending 6-8 hours a day playing Goldeneye, Magic: The Gathering, and of course, penny-ante games of Poker. Once I got a PC I started following the eSports scene pretty quickly and became interested. By the time I was 14 I had been playing competitive Counter-Strike for a year and the two years following I played in high-tier tournaments against very experienced (and older) players. I contemplated dropping out of high school to pursue my dreams, but thought it best not to and gave up CS. My brother introduced me to Poker around this time and it quickly became an obsession. Under his coaching I learned to win in cashgames and tournaments, winning a few thousand before taking a break. But, after graduating high school, working a couple jobs and traveling, I decided to take Poker seriously again. Mike and I decided to start a grindhouse, alongside our two best friends who are also professional players. The rest, as they say, is history. :)

So, 2011 has been an alright year for me, Poker-wise. I'm currently up about ~$2.5K for the year but haven't put in much volume. I'm excited to move up to 50NL in April and work toward my goals for this year. I`m 29 years old, born and raise in Yambol (Bulgarian town with approximately population of 45-75k) but for over 10 years I live in Sofia. I came here to study (Ecology) but I found so many friends that I decide to stay for a wile, one of them ... my best friend Jully ones (2,5 years ago) told me about a card game called Texas Holdem so I`m now addicted ... lol 10x buddy :D

Since the beginning of my poker carrier Jully was and still is my mentor, teacher and a guy that I can always blame if I`m losing big time ... lol :D :D :D I love you man thanks for everything.
Other important people on my way was and still are of course DIDI8 and Zografa, I`m glad that life brought me together with you guys. Thanks to their project called GRINDERS.ORG I think they become important people, one way or another for many of you who want to improve your skills in this crazy game called Poker.

So I began in BetOnBet a former Prima skin and with changing a few skins and collecting a sign up bonuses from them I manage to build a solid bank for 50nl. In that time 50nl was my step to the real money from online poker, of course that wasn`t easy step but with a tons of help from Jully I did it (7-10BB fuck yeah ...lol).

Currently I`m playing 100 and 200nl in UniBet and I have couple of students on my one. I`m pretty thankful for my poker life so far to all of you guys who helped me through these 2,5 years. God bless you !
I`m playing poker professionally for over a year and a half and that is the best period of my life so far and I hope that it`s going to get better. In the time I`m not playing I`m trying to do stuff that relax my mind and that are not connected to the game at any way. Recently I bought a bike and I find driving for no reason to be very relaxing down I`ll post a picture of my monster :D :D :D. When I read Botafogo's first article about 10 reasons to switch from Holdem to Omaha i decided that there is a lot of reason in his words so i decided to give it a try.
I wasn't successful Holdem player due to a lot of reasons but when I look back i see that I started the game wrong and have played hundreds of thousands of hands on autopilot and I didn't evolve as a player. I didn't know successful players at all and haven't had all these discussions to develop my game. Didn't know shit about 2+2 or HEM.

When poker community was growing and when I saw results of other players I was devastated because I felt so stupid for not succeeding in the game and that put a lot pressure to my game. I started to read all books I can find like Super System, Sklansky, helmuth and Negreanu's books.
I didnt realise that concepts there are very very old when i was reading them people already knew them and game developed extremely fast. Coaching sites and movies became popular( for those who could afford them) and people started to play very different from book theories.
I decided to switch to Omaha and start from scratch. I see a lot of opportunities here and I am trying not to read some old shit but to think about my game and try to contact with the best players I can find.
I asked Botafogo some questions about BRM and stuff read his articles and watched his videos numerous times and started to play. I read slowhabit's book that he recommended and find it very useful. I played 30K hands at 4NL and decided to start 10NL. When I reach 20NL I think i can be able to affrod a teacher and I hope very much that Botafogo will agree to help me to evolve into a chip sucking PLO machine :)
Thats from me I will attach my stats and I hope you guys to give me some advice or directions in my game :)

The purpose of my blog is to motive all the players , that are playing alot , and are asking to their self , is there any sense I'm even in the end of the month or I a little behind or alot behind.
Recently I had my good run , and feel like I wanna tell you about it
I hope you will like my short story and give you a simple example how from the
bottom you can raise and have the will to play 24/7 :)
So ... In the begging of Febuary I had a really hard days , losing my father
( life goes on ... ) , before that I've never been so seriouse about online poker , I always wanted to do it , but I was satisifted with my offline winnigs from tournaments and live cash games so I was fine.But since there is no regular games in Sofia or the only on that's playing is total roullete in my oppinion I really decieded to be as seriouse to online poker as to my food/water :).

I've choosen best bonuses and rake back I can get and I started the 50nl texas in ladbrokes and managed to do 20-30 buy ins profit which was great , since I was playing mostly PLO offline , I wanted to see how is going online , I've watched all the videos by the pros , read 2-3 books and said to my self that I'm ready to online PLO. I've started with 50 again I was up few buy ins which give me the strenth to raise 100 , I was trying to have about 50 buy ins for the stakes I'm playing in PLO is better if you do it with 100/150 I think.I managed to became a regular at 200/400 games for 2-3 months and I had my great winnig shoots at 600/1000 games , as well I had two trips abroad which donated me good winnigs by that time.

For the last 3 months I really didn't care about anything , everything was so grey around me , everything I wanted to do is to play poker and to play it good , and I think I've managed to do this for this 3 months , just because I was focused only and only on this , nothing else could take off my attention.

With this words , I'm trying to say that sooner or later you good play will be awarded the way you wanted it ! All you need to do is to play alot , and doing it with pleasure.Another thing that helped me by this time was that I really love playing poker is so intresting to me and gives me alot of pleasure , I'm sure if you look at the game that way will help you alot.

Honestly , sometimes I was losing my faith in how justice and how based on skills is that game , but we all see examples everyday.I'm sure there are alot grinders at the forum thinking the same and I hope my words will help ya get thru this ^^.

This month is total disaster for me , but I'm being as motiveted as the last months , because I felt the pleasure of winning , only because of the good and focused play. And I'm wating for the everysingle tournament which I will go to this summer and there are more then 10 big events , and I'm sure I will do well , just because I will play on my top !

I just wanna excuse my self for my bad english , really haven't been using it alot in the last years.
Also I hope my blog isn't too heartbreaking , hehe :).
And I'm sorry I can't provide you graphs from my sessions , but I just bought HM+PLO manager and learning to use it , hehe :).

I've been playing poker from 3 years and half. Most of the time and from the begining was playing 6max, then, year ago transfered to Headsup, wich was most fun and interesting game for me. From the start of the new year i had very bad run like 3 months or something, and i almost busted myself few times, it was very painfull, and depressed. Somehow i manage to stay alive and start looking for different things to play and change the things a little bit. So i decide to try PLO, but i had very basic knowledge about the game, tryed to play few times before and lost alot of money, so i needed help.
From month now Botafogo is my coach, im very happy to say that only for few lesson with him.. i started to unsderstand the game perfect and making profit in cash games. Also played few PLO tournaments maybe 10,12 or something and i cashed in half of them. And yestarday got my first place, in PLO tournament. For those of you who have intention to play PLO professional i strongly recomend Botafogo az specialist and a coach! So thats all for now, i will post new blog with info and graphs about the cash games in the near future, when i have good sample of hands, so gl at the tables and most of all have fun !

Such a nice and good week.

So i will start of the beginning.
It was a meh month for me . I was having plans to shot 2-4 heads up until the end of the month ,but instead i run really bad at 1-2 and after that i play bad at like 1k hand sample , but in general i am really happy with my play.

I had plans to grind until the end of the month , but then my phone woke me up while I slept in bed.It was one old friend from high school , she told me that she have tickets for Bulgaria got talent and asking me can i go since i told her earlier in the week that i really want to go to watch it. So i decide that one short trip to Sofia will be good for me and my current state of being.

It was Sunday afternoon and when i woke up excited i decide to play until the end of the day. Marticha ( also from grinders ) booked my flight for mоnday morning ( ty sir ). Having already played 5-6 hours i check my skype and find out that one of my friend is going to London for a few months so i decide to finish my really good session for the day and see her before she leave.
So we made a good walk through Varna sea garden.



We end up in front a local night club / restaurant called horizon.
Just then there was a wedding. I decide to bluff my friend with " do you want to go there and join the horo ( horo its a typical Bulgarian dance ) and i was snap called.

So we walk in the restaurant pretending to be guest of the wedding and even think of a respond what to say if somebody ask us ahha
We even consider to go sit and eat ,but it was too late for that.It was a funny one.
We start dancing and after the dance we leave as the same as we walk in.
We were laughing abount 20 mins and then she went home to sleep, after that i decided to see some friends in the local night cafe

While i told them that i will go to Sofia they tell me that they want to go rafting in the end of the week.
Suddenly my short stay in Sofia become a hole vacation .
And after the good start of the week i just knew it that its going to be a sick one.

I went home to pack up my baggage for the hole trip ,because my flight was after 2 hours. In the next moment i was in Sofia and i was sitting and waiting for the show to start.I give the extra tickets to Dobo ,July ( mypush ) and Zhelyo.Dobo and July are from grinders. Zhelyo play mostly live and i can just say that if you dont know him, you cant say youve played a lot live in Bulgaria or that you know all bg poker players. People who knows him knows why i wrote that ahahha.

The show was really good and i think everyone in the building really enjoy it.
I can say that I had not slept in 32 hours and after the show i was feeling like i just wake up. Full of energy and happy.

I can say that the dance i watch live is 80% different then this you can see on the video.I think the guys who change the camera all the time ruined it.
Because you just cant see the hole choreography and really enjoy it.
He just change it every F****ng 2 sec.

I hope they fix this problem for the finals.

After the show we end up in some night club drinking some really strange , but really good drinks.I think i slept most of the next day and play some heads up.

My activities during the day were pretty much the same all week.
Wake up eat go to the mall ,play some poker ,eat and prepare for the night.

3 days early in the sea garden i had a discution with one friend that we are really getting old.So i say to myself that i am going to prove her wrong.

So my plan for the next 7 days were ( oh yeah my visit also extended ,because we booked our visa interview for Тuesday ) 3 days clubbing, 2 days rafting 1 day relax and re-checking all the documents for the interview.
Go to interview and drink at night before taking the flight back home.Life is gooood

We were four people.Тhe final count of the shots was 174.
We end in one disco club in student city . It was a sick good night.

It was Friday i was pretty close to finish my 3 days little event and prove that i can still go partying all week ahah

Once my friends arrived from Varna first we ate and then we headed to discos.
We start the night at Biad and finish it in Nai-klub.
It was a really good night and i enjoy it a lot.

So in the next moment we were around the fire at night.Waiting for our stakes to be ready.We build up our tens and the only thing left for us to do is to enjoy the environment. Its so good to stood around the fire and talking stories and having fun with friends . If you can i suggest you to do it from time to time. After eating we leave our tens and go to the close place in the forest.
There was a mineral hot pool.After eating a little stay in the hot pool is away`s a good decisions



.After the night bath we cocked our left food and then we decide to go to sleep because the main thing we gather our self is still ahead of us ;) .



The rafting was amazing and i just can say that this is something you have to do soon or later.After it you just feel full of energy and just happy .
Just the adrenalin combined with the beautiful views and just the joy of your group working as a team and finish what you started is extraordinary .

Monday was a day for relax and to do a final re-check for all the documents we have to bring to the interview for visa.It was a hilarious interview at first we set a date at 8 in front of the embassy our interview was set for 9 i 45.
When we call July at 9 30 he was at some photo or something because he forgot that he have to go to interview ... ahahh. So we were stood there and drajo were starting bets with Grudi i think if July is able to come at time.
He finally manage to come in time and all the people were really nervios and we were just stay there and we laughing about all the time.
i heard that Kuul respond to some question with " I play poker tight "
and it was so funny ahaha , but i heard it wrong.Anyway it was pretty sick when Drajo respond that he play at Stars. ahha

We start the night in the same shot club as you can see on the picture above and then ended in the night chalga club . I was standing in the disco club having fun and then i realize that i have approximately hour and 20 min to go home fix my things and head it to the airport. I manage to do it in time.
What i remember that close to my seat were one really beautiful girl.
If you reading this WRITE ME ahhaha. I helped her with the luggage.But afrer that i was pretty tired and slept most of the time on the flight.

As most of the members of the team I'm Bulgarian ! I live in Sofia and soon I will have my 23th birthday. I'm last year in the university studying business economy, but looks like I've found another direction in my life - poker. :)
Few years ago I found this great game , and started to play and learn the game from the bottom to the top.

I'm mostly a live tournament player but in the last 2-3 months I'm playing PLO very hard and I'm having my best run ever , which unfortunately ended a week ago I think ... :( Variance in PLO isn't funny as we know.
Next few months I should be playing lots of live tournaments - Unibet opens and EMOPs and I really hope to take one trophy :P.
Since I have my main exams in the university ... it looks like a busy summer !
I just wanted to say few words about me and meet with the fellows I don't know.
I will try to make this reading much more pleasant in near future and show off a bit my good run :D

Most of theme made jokes about my friend *Peter who is my training partner... and is always there for me :) But they don't understand our bond .
It was really nice we had allot of fun.

on the poker side i'm still trying to get to 100nl but i cant make any progress. I'm still brake even and can't make any buyins. I was up arround 10 tbi two times but i dropped them ... i guess its good to be brake even on the new level but i'm not really trilled about it...

The trainings are going really well ... except i overdid it again and my sholders are out for atleast 3 more days. So now im working on my footwork and head movement ... We dont do enough pad training and i think we are going to change that - my plan is once a week we do 3-4 hours pad and spar training with Jully and other guys ... If there is someone on the forum who likes spars and pad training just call us ...

The seminar will be brutal i just cant wait ... maybe this week ill go to the seaside heheh

Guys good luck on the tables and you tell me if there is something that you want me to write about...

I expect this event, because the last time I played EMOP i busted on 11th place in the same casino and now I want to redeem myself.

Four days after the Unibet i am going to Vegas with a group of my friends.

We are planing to stay over there for 36 days.
Then we want to go to New York and Miami for 10days.
And 3 days after we came back to Bulgaria we are going to play the EMOP in Golden Beach.Its one hour drive by car from Varna.

In Vegas i am planing to play as many tournaments as i can.

If anybody is going to Vegas in the summer feel free to write and we can exchange info or we can just go drinking together.
Away`s good to have more people to some prop bets :) ahahha

My roommates for the summer are Drago , Kuul , mypush , gruzerz all from the forum.

I have a plan for the next tree moths and my plan is to win a HUGE amount of money. :)

Friday before i went there i did a really baadass sparing with two 110kg ningamasters and i cudn't move much on he party so i just drank :)

Today i returned the favor to Jully by not showing up at th pad training but i didn't calculate my time correctly :) i gust tought that one hower is much longer :)
I Did however - turkish getup / dumpel row / dumpel push / worm / dumpel swungs :) all the exercises were wit max weight so i was devestated at the end.

Im trying to play as much poker as i can and i do 3 4 sessions a day but on the new level i takes me allot of effort.
I saw a video of Jully today - his videos are good. I think it'll be fun if we do another one together . The last video that he did with me live was pretty much fun to watch so ... everybody liked it :) - we were together skiing in Bansko then and I remember that i was playing 8 tables with 4 fishes on table and i really hated reducing them to 4 for the video ...

Now i am trying to play at 100nl and i its real fun :)

I like training allot and doing martial arts so ill be posing my poker results and my training results also :)i+

Im on 100nl since the begining of the month and im 7-8bi+ - Prototype told me to stop calling out of position so much but its hard because i really like it :)

- i still do some stupid mistakes( like calling oop with marginal hands ) but my game has really improved since the last month. I'm trying to play solid but my concentration is really bad so i play short sessions of 1.5h and its ok i guess ...

I'm doing strenght and conditioning training the last 3 months and it really pays off in every aspect of my life. My fighting trainings are reduced to one a week in the moment and i cant wait kicking Julla in the head today :) He is my archenemy ahahhah

today i did some lowintece cardio, some pullups and some weight lifting - And tonight is the fight night ... cant wait

This weekend i had a lesson with James. We did couple of things - nothing too fancy, played with a lot of fishes, did basically whats called aggro solid game and wtf? In 45 minutes i am down 3.4k on 2/4 3/6. Just some flips, 1 or 2 questionable plays where the hand was really specific, some fishes got us outflopped in 3bet pots and we had to stop playing and i needed a day off poker cuz i dont usually lose that much in 45 minutes.

Yesterday i start playing with new energy. I was thinking to myself ok that last session was a disaster but anyway i am better than 90% of the player field out there and the rest 10% are either like me or either dont have much of an edge on me. I pick up good tables play only 4 or max 5 of them. Use 100% of my poker skills and the things go really well - i make couple of bi-ns. Out of a sudden a really mad aggro player sits on 2 of my tables. I think to myself "Ok now it gets intresting" I take couple of euros out of him and than this hand happens:

I am like WTF not again and i want to stop immediately my session just to keep my winning day on. Than i just stop for a few seconds and tell myself "fuck this, this guy is fucking bad and im gonna crush him as much as i can". And i start giving the very best of me + 50% more. And the result is an almost 7 hour session and the biggest winning day where i play only 2/4 and 3/6 shorthanded tables(actually and some HU with that guy):



So... my point is... poker is a bitch. ACtually no... poker is THE bitch!
